A '''Shimmershield''' is a piece of [[Eldar]] battle equipment used primarily by [[Exarch]]s of the [[Dire Avenger]] warrior aspect. It has also been reported to be used by Eldar [[Corsair Prince]]s, [[Voidstorm Squad]]s{{Fn|1}} and [[Void Dreamer]]s{{Fn|2}}. It is an advanced force-field generator that is strong enough to protect the Exarch and the Dire Avengers around him from melee attacks.{{Fn|3}}
