The '''''Torment''''' is a [[Desolator Class Battleship]]. It was captured by renegade pirates in the [[Spartan War]] and then destroyed the orbital defences of [[Ghori IV]] prior to an [[Eldar Corsair|Eldar pirate]] invasion of that world. The ''Torment'' has also been seen as far afield as the [[Ultima Segmentum]] and the northern rim; where it attacked an Imperial convoy in the [[Jobe Sector]].{{Fn|1}} The ship was eventually devoted to [[Slaanesh]],{{Fn|2}} and joined [[Abaddon]]'s fleet during the [[12th Black Crusade]].{{Fn|1}}{{Fn|2}} It harassed Imperial shipping during the war; this activity was eased by the fact that the ''Torment'' had become so corrupted as to drive Imperials insane by its mere presence.{{Fn|2}}
