Afterwards, he was promoted to the rank of Admiral by [[Cornelius von Ravensburg]]. Spire proved his skill during the following [[12th Black Crusade]]. He played a vital role of keeping [[xenos]] artifacts out of the hands of [[Chaos]] forces during the war, helped to forge an alliance with the [[Aeldari Corsairs|Aeldari Corsair]] Prince [[Eldrathain Voidstinger]], and fought in major engements such as the [[Battle of Gethsemane]] and [[Battle of Schindlegeist]].{{Fn|1}}
Spire and his survival fleet returned from the Warp at the time of the [[13th Black Crusade]], discovering that eight centuries had passed in the [[Materium]].
