The '''Ecclesiarch''' is the leader of the [[Ecclesiarchy]] (aka Adeptus Ministorum) , and the supreme authority on religious matters within is based in the [[ImperiumEcclesiarchial Palace]]. He commands great respect from all branches of the Adeptus Ministorum and the [[Inquisition]], and is frequently canonised even before his deathon Terra. The Ecclesiarch's main concerns are the ordering of crusades, and monitoring the devotion of the Imperial citizenry.

The Ecclesiarch is traditionally one of the [[High Lords of Terra]], the ruling council of the Imperium. They also control the workings of the [[Sisters of Battle]], although recently they have come somewhat more under the rule of the Inquisition, more specifically the [[Ordo Hereticus]].
