However, they encountered fierce resistance from [[Infardi]] [[Chaos Cultist|cultists]] that had holed up and fortified the town.{{Fn|1a}}{{Fn|1b}} In [[Battle of Bhavnager|the battle ]] that followed, Captain Sirus and the ''Wrath of Pardua'' led five other Pardus tanks and [[Tanith First and Only|Tanith]] infantry in a flanking manoeuvre from the east of the town while the main attack was made from the south. Although these tanks were delayed by a minefield, the Imperials were on the brink of victory when the cultists deployed their secret weapon: a [[Baneblade]] [[Super Heavy Tank]]. Just when things looked hopeless, Captain Sirus had the ''Wrath of Pardua'' charge the enemy tank and pierce its armour with [[augur shell]]s. Although the Baneblade destroyed the ''Wrath'' immediately afterwards (killing Sirus in the process), the damage was enough for Captain [[Endre Woll|Woll]] of ''[[Old Strontium]]'' to finish the tank off.{{Fn|1b}}
