Those hailing from Atar-Median were often met with hostility and so instead they moved to integrate themselves amongst the wider Imperium. The eagerness to succeed was exhibited by the Legio Atarus during the Great Crusade and during the [[Horus Heresy]] they became one of the first to denounce the [[Warmaster]]. The Legio Atarus lost a full demi-Legio at [[Isstvan V]] and its warriors craved vengeance in the aftermath.{{Fn|3}}
