The Cabal System is a system of the Sabbat Worlds Cluster.1
==History==When the forces of Chaos spilling from the Sanguinary Worlds conquered the Cluster, the worlds of the Cabal System were fortified and turned into bastions for their armies. Conquest of these Fortress Worldss was a key objective of the Sabbat Worlds Crusade; Warmaster Macaroth made this one of his top priorities after he succeeded Slaydo as Commander of the Crusade.1 The offense into the Cabal System started off strongly; by the Crusade's 16th year, 75% of the system's worlds had been captured by Imperial forces, including two of the great Fortress Worlds. Unfortunately, the Cabal offensive stalled after this point, leaving the Imperial deployment overstretched and creating a salient vulnerable to attack from multiple angles. This culminated in a series of counterattacks by Chaos forces along the Crusade's coreward flank, most notably by the warlord Urlock Gaur, who launched strikes against a number of worlds vital to the Crusade's supply lines (such as Belshiir Binary, Caius Innate, Enothis and Khan V). Macaroth was forced to make a hasty redeployment of the Crusade's spinward elements to break through Chaos blockades and open up new supply lines, lest the entire Crusade's main offensive falter or be defeated. Most of the planets he targeted with these actions were rich in fuel and other resources, such as Gigar, Mirridon and Phantine. Arguably the most important, however, was the Chaos-held Forge World of Urdesh.2 ==Trivia==Trivia===Notes===*Note 1: This is the position on the galactic map of Urdesh34, a Forge World located in the Sabbat Worlds.2 Given the size of a sector of space relative to the galaxy, it is reasonable to presume that the rest of the Sabbat Worlds, including the Cabal System, would be in roughly the same position as well.
