Changes

Those infected, become servants of the [[Chaos Gods]], as the Heart Wyrm wipes away their former selves while whispering [[Heresy|heresies]] to them. However the Scrapcode has limited utility, as it was not infectious. Instead, an infected [[Data-spike]] was needed to directly upload the Heart_Wyrm into an augmented brain, via a skull implanted [[Data-jack]].{{Fn|1}}  

After creating the Heart_Wyrm, [[Makov Quavarian|Quavarian]] targeted members of the [[Adeptus Mechanicus]] to both infect and help him refine the [[Scrapcode]]. He called his victims the [[Transmuted]], as he had freed their minds from the [[Omnissiah]] and enhanced them through the power of the [[Chaos Gods]]. The Heart_Wyrm placed them under Quavarian's sway and while most were mindless and simply followed his orders, a few were allowed to have a semblance of free will. These high ranking Transmuted, were used to aid Quavarian in infecting captured members of the Mechanicus and also ensured the safety of his base, with the aid of corrupted [[Skitarii]]. Whether infected by the Heart-Wyrm or Conqueror-Wyrm, the Transmuted were Quavarian's puppets. He could read their minds, speak through them, sense where they were and even take direct control of them, if he needed to. However the Heretek's rampage was eventually ended in [[M42]], by the [[Callidus]] [[Sycorax (Callidus Assassin)|Sycorax]]. After infiltrating his base on [[Sanga Kappa]], the shape-shifting Assassin killed Quavarian with a [[Wrecker-code]] virus, which also destroyed the equipment he used to make the Scrapcodes. As they were linked to him, the Transmuted were also killed by Wrecker-Code as well. However, unbeknownst to Sycorax, Quavarian had hidden a [[Data-sarcophagus]] outside of his base, which contained backup data for the Heart_Wyrm and the Conqueror_Wyrm. It was later discovered by a [[Heretic]] who had aided Quavarian and his Scrapcodes soon began to threaten the [[Imperium]] once again.{{Fn|1}}
