==Overview==
The Infidel's design originated in late [[M40]] from the orbital shipyards of [[Monsk]] orbital shipyards in as part of an effort to provide a larger version of the [[Cobra Destroyer]], which disappeared in late ; the designs for the vessel [[Monsk Conspiracy|were stolen]] before they could be submitted to the [[M40Fabricator-General of Mars]]. A few years later, a series of attacks against [[Imperial]] outposts and convoys by ships bearing similar design to the escort ship were reported.
