==History==
A member of Captain [[Kharn]]'s command squad, he earned his nickname "Bloodspitter" for his habit of spitting blood into the eyes of his enemies in arena combat aboard the [[Conqueror (Ship)|Conqueror]]. During these bouts Kargos was often paired with the ferocious [[Blood Angels]] Captain [[Nassir Amit]]. The two gained a strong bond, particularly after [[Sanguinius]] and [[Angron]] themselves witnessed a much-publicized fight to the death with two World Eaters champions.{{Fn|33b}} Uncharacteristically for the World Eaters Legion, Kargos possessed a great sense of humor and wit and often used it to calm his comrades during their rages.{{Fn|1}}
By the [[Siege of Terra]], Kargos had succumbed fully to madness, his Apothecary tools broken. He nonetheless was the one to discover the body of Kharn after his battle with [[Sigismund]], taking up his former Captain's [[Chain Axe]] ''[[Gorechild]]''. Guided by the [[Word Bearers]] [[Chaplain]] [[Inzar Taerus]], Kargos took part in the invasion of the [[Inner Palace]]. During an assault on a refugee convoy, Kargos was met by his former chain-brother Nassir Amit and had his throat cut. However he was able to recover, swearing retribution against Amit who simply told him to ''eat shit traitor''.{{Fn|33a}}
