It was maintained in utmost secrecy by Goralech, whose patronage by a cabal of [[Ordo Malleus]] [[Inquisitor]]s had seen the [[Forge World]] handle the darkest of proscribed lore. The vaults of [[Pergamatros]] were created to contain Goralech's perilous data and were hidden behind arrays of [[Scanner|auspicatory]] baffles, that concealed the [[Moon]] from even the most powerful sensor sweeps. However during the [[War of Beasts]], Pergamatros briefly suffered a power surge that showed up on the [[Black Legion]] warship, [[Unrepentant]]'s scanners. It was commanded by the [[Warpsmith]] [[Vask (Warpsmith)|Vask]], who orderd his forces to invade the Moon. Despite the heavy defenses Goralech had provided it, Pergamatros was soon successfully raided by the Black Legion.{{Fn|1}}
