Shortly before the [[Siege of Terra]], Garro and his Knights-Errant were busy fighting [[Chaos Cultist]]s and [[Daemon]]ic infestations across the planet. This included a brutal fight against the [[Lord of the Flies]] in which his friend [[Macer Varren]] was killed. However when Malcador chose his nine Titans to form the [[Grey Knights]], Garro was not among them. Malcador stated that Garro's fate was not tied to [[Titan (Moon)|Titan]], but to Terra. Garro was set free by Malcador, absolved of his role as a Knights-Errant. Along with [[Helig Gallor]] and [[Garviel Loken]], Garro stated that they would instead fight Horus when he arrived.{{Fn|6}} During the [[Siege of Terra]] Garro and Loken led kill-squads to ambush the Sons of Horus underneath the [[Saturnine Gate]].{{Fn|7}} In the ensuing fight, Garro and his team defeated [[Falkus Kibre]] and his [[Justaerin]]. After bisecting Kibre with his sword, Garro expressed pity for the traitor when he saw the [[Daemon]]ic entity that had taken up residence within the former Luna Wolf. He next battled [[Abaddon]] alongside [[Bel Sepatus]] and [[Endryd Haar]]. Though his two brothers were slain, Garro used their deaths for an opening and would have slain Abaddon had he not teleported away in time.{{Fn|7a}}
