The blade takes its name from a prideful [[Slaanesh]]i [[Daemon]] bound within its form that once controlled a world in the [[Eye of Terror]]. The Daemon operated a network of gladiatorial arenas wherein it tortured and butchered foes for millennia while delighting in smashing the most skilled warrior-slaves. {{PAGENAME}} boasted that no warrior could best it, something that enraged Angron. Armed with nothing but a bar of iron, Angron bludgeoned {{PAGENAME}} to death. After the daemons death, the iron warped in Angrons hand and transformed into a monstrous blade with {{PAGENAME}} bound inside.{{Fn|3}}
