Each clansman carries proudly long scars on his cheeks, which he gets from his coming of age ritual. Into these scars ash is often rubbed, in order to create more impressive scarring. Normally Attilans wear their hair long and open.
Attillans Attilans are regarded as being as rank and unsanitary as Ogryns, as they do not believe in washing, refusing to bathe or clean their clothes. They believe that it is an insult to the spirits of water. This superstition could not be defeated even by the preachers and missionaries of the Ministorum. This has lead to the Attillans Attilans being the butt of many jokes by their fellow Guardsmen.
