The Stigmatus Covenant was part of [[Angron]]'s invasion force during the [[First War for Armageddon]]. It contributed 11 cohorts to this campaign.{{Fn|3}} Later, the horde's mutants [[mutant]]s fought in the [[13th Black Crusade]], during which they were used by [[Chaos Knights]] of [[House Khomentis]] to flush from cover the [[5th Company (Howling Griffons)|5th Company]] of the [[Howling Griffons]] in the [[Mackan System]]{{Fn|1}}. The entire horde was later among the last wave of [[Chaos]] forces that invaded [[Cadia]], before the world was [[Dead World|destroyed]].{{Fn|2}}==Canon Conflict==[[White Dwarf 279 (UK)]] and [[Codex: Chaos Knights (8th Edition)]] describe the Covenant as a [[Mutant]] horde{{Fn|1}}{{Fn|3}}, while [[Warhammer 40,000 8th Edition Rulebook]] states they are a [[Chaos Cult]].{{Fn|2}}
