Magog was a binary pulsar system, with a radiation swept storm zone.2a It had only one inhabitable planet, also called Magog.1a
History
During the Achilus Crusade, the Magog System was extensively defended by Chaos forces. It was considered virtually impenetrable by Imperial forces without drawing Chaos forces away from the System, or substantially increasing the manpower and resources of the Acheros Salient. Very few of the Imperial craft sent to scout it returned, a result of both the area's Warp instability, and the dark fleets reported by those that returned.1a There were numerous reports of Chaos Space Marines active in, or moving towards the Magog System.1a One of the two Word Bearers Hosts in the Jericho Reach during the Crusade was identified by the presence of their Desolator Battleship Dark Chorus in the Magog System.1d Chaos Space Marine vessels bearing the markings of the warband The Pyre were also seen in the Magog and Vanity Systems, along with Company sized deployments of Pyre forces. Their vessels may have been shared with their allies.1e A group from the Knights of Blood operated on the outskirts of the Magog System during the Achilus Crusade. Imperial forces incorrectly reported them as a Traitor Legion force, and a Deathwatch killKill-teamTeam was despatched to intercept. They arrived at the Magog System, and identified the group as being the Knights of Blood, but before they could decide how to respond, a nearby Imperial outpost was attacked by Chaos forces, and the Knights of Blood went to aid the Imperial forces.3
Known Planets
* Magog, once an Imperial Agri-worldWorld, obliterated itself and became a Chaos Fortress World, possibly orbited by a Blackstone Fortress1a2b4
