The chambers are ancient.{{Fn|1}} Each Maglev Chamber has a complex control panel of alien design. {{Fn|1a}} When a code is inputted typed into the control panel, it moves lurches into motion, moving to another locationwithin the Fortress. {{Fn|1b}} Code sequences can be compiled to move the chamber to specific locations.{{Fn|11a}}

The explorers of the [[Seventh Blackstone Fortress]] did not initially understand the exact operation of the Maglev Chambers, but by discovering clues, they were able to learn to compile specific code sequences.{{Fn|11a}}
