'''Novators''' are the matriarchs and patriarchs of the [[Navigator]] Houses of the [[Navis Nobilite]], who can either be the figurative parent or biological parent of the family. Their role is to manage their household's fortunes and keep their kin together which can see them fostering trade contracts whilst jealously guarding what they already hold in their possession. The strict controls they impose along with the Navigator codes prevents devastating warfare from erupting between the Navigator Houses. Above the many Novators sits the [[Paternova]] and through them they manage the Navigator Houses of the [[Imperium]].{{Fn|1}}
