The Svardhol were devastated by the [[Ork]] invasions of [[Necromunda (planet)|Necromunda]]. Their fastness, close to what is now known as '''The Skull''', was assaulted and it was only through bitter defence that any survived. They are thus far more warlike than the other Mining Clans and maintain a permanent fighting cadre of [[Drill-kyn]]. It is said said that they also engage in frequent mercenary work for other factions on Necromunda.{{Fn|2}}
