Greater Daemons are the most powerful Daemons before the Chaos gods (Khorne, Tzeentch, Slaanesh, and Nurgle) themselves. They require blood sacrifices to summon, but once they reach the table top, they are a vicious sight to behold and are difficult to destroy.
There are four Greater Daemons, each linked to one of the four major Chaos gods:
==Bloodthirster==See main article: *Khorne#Daemons of Khorne Bloodthirsters are the Chaos god Khorne's physical embodiments who typically carry the monstrous Axe of Khorne and the terrifying Whip of Khorne into battle. They are enormous combat monsters, easily able to tear troops, such as Space Marines, to shreds. Their only desire is to end the lives of everything around them as a sacrifice to the Blood God, Khorne. Forge World have released a model to represent the |Bloodthirster as well as Games Workshop. ==Great Unclean One==See main article: Great Unclean One Great Unclean Ones are minions of *Nurgle, Lord of Decay. They appear as large bloated creatures, oozing pus and revealing diseased organs through their ragged skin. They are sometimes accompanied by Nurglings. They look exactly like Nurglings but are far larger and more powerful. Forge World have released a model to represent the |Great Unclean One as well as Games Workshop. ==Lord of Change==See main article: *Lord of Change Lords of Change are the Greater Daemons in the service of Tzeentch. They have mastered the powers of the Warp and use them to forsee their enemies' actions, making them hard to surprise. Carrying a Staff of Change, it resembles a humanoid with bird-like features, feathered limbs, and has wildy multi-colored skin to reflect its adaptivity. ==Keeper of Secrets==See main article: Keeper of Secrets Agile and swift, these daemons in the service *Slaanesh move like dancers in combat. They read the minds of mortals and know their deepest desires; they then use this knowledge to tempt them into various pacts, tactical blunders or into the forces of Chaos completely, depending on the situation. Forge World have released a model to represent the |Keeper of Secrets as well as Games Workshop.
