During the Siege of Terra, Nassir Amit took part in the defense of the Inner Palace. During a defense of a refugee convoy, Nassir met his former chain-brother Kargos and cut his throat after telling him to simply eat shit, though this failed to kill the World Eater.9a Later Nassir was one of the sparse number of defenders at the Eternity Gate, holding off a massive Chaos horde. During the battle he again came to blows with Kargos, again telling him to "eat shit" and striking down his former brother.9c Following the sealing of the Eternity Gate, Amit wept at the sight of the Angel's wounds at the hand of Ka'Bandha and Angron as well as the doom the shutting of the gate meant for Terra.10a
After the fall of Bhab Bastion, Amit rallied with remaining loyalist officers such as Fafnir Rann, Namahi, Azkaellon, Zephon, Satel Aimery in the final defense of the Inner Palace under the command of Archamus.10b During the fighting, normal space-time began to break down as the Warp swept across Terra and traitors were able to bypass the sealed Eternity Gate and pour deep into the Sanctum Imperialis. Amit led resistance to the furthest known traitor advance at at the Marnix Confluence, just 2km from the Throneroom.11 Upon sensing the death of Sanguinius, Amit succumbed to the Black Rage with the rest of his Legion.12a He went on a particularly gruesome rampage, massacring large numbers of loyalists until the wave of insanity lifted. He was discovered amid a sea of loyal corpses by the Lone Wolf Odi Sartak, who had been about to try and stop Amit.12b Expressing horror and grief at what he had done, after the defeat of Horus Amit is seen taking part in the funeral service for Sanguinius alongside 500 surviving Blood Angels.12c
