Veteran intercessors are sometimes represented in a Chapter's [[1st Company]]. Some veteran intercessors are those battle-brothers who have wrought glories throughout their career, while others are [[firstborn]] who have since crossed the [[Rubicon Primaris]].{{Fn|7b}} [[Sternguard Veteran]]s in up-to-date modern chapters are functionally also veteran intercessors, as they are both veterans and armed with bolt rifles.
