Possessed Engines are created from vehicles that would otherwise be piloted by a mortal crewmen. The rituals that bring them into being require large sacrifices of blood and souls, allowing a Daemon to be summoned and bound within a vehicle's sealed hull.{{Fn|1}}
In battle, Possessed Engines are able to withstand much more punishment than crewed Chaos vehicles. However, the bound Daemon doesn't serve willingly and there is a risk that it may turn the vehicle's weapons against its masters. Those Possessed Engines with transport capacities may even devour the troops that travel within them.{{Fn|1}}
