Viewed as the pinnacle of Bile's "art", these are creatures who possess strength and intelligence superior to any human, as well as the worst traits of mankind. Fabius secretly seeds New Men on worlds across the Galaxy, hoping to one day have them overtake the Human race. As Fabius leaves behind planets of corrupted human abominations, the Adeptus Astartes and the Inquisition strive to purge these creations, and are forced to destroy entire populations.1
A sub-type of New Men are Gland Hounds. These are made by partial gene-seed implantation. Gland Hounds are designed to hunt Space Marines in packs and retrieve their gene-seed. "To the atavistic clans of mutants which acted as the frigate’s crew, Fabius was their god and father in one. For it had been his experiments which had first set their ancestors They are loyal to Bile on the long, crooked road of change. His intention had been to make them hardier a genetic level and selfworship him as a quasi-sufficient, unlike the slave-crews favoured by so many others. A crew that could not defend itself was of no use to him or the Vesalius"god.3
