Predators are grouped into such squadrons when a single enemy unit necessitates its complete annihilation.{{Fn|1}}{{Fn|2}} To assist in this task, the tank crews are provided with as much intelligence and tactical guidance as possible about the target.{{Fn|1}} The crews also tune their weapons to fit whatever they have learned about the target.{{Fn|1}}
Predator Assassin Squadrons are so effective that there are only three times in the past century in which the squadrons have failed to eliminate their targets.{{Fn|1}} Two of the failures took place during battles in the [[Eye of Terror]], and the third took place during the [[War of Quile's Folly]], in which a premature [[Exterminatus]] order destroyed the target, a [[Space Marine Company|company]] of [[Mantis Warriors]], and 600,000 [[Valhallan Ice Warriors]] supporting the aformentioned company.{{Fn|1}}
