The '''Chimera''' is the troop transport for the [[Imperial Guard]] and follows in the idea of 'as many guns as possible' toting six hull mounted [[Lasweapons|lasgunLasguns]]s, a turret mounted weapon such as a heavy flamer, [[Bolt weapons|heavy bolter]] or [[Autocannon]] and another hull mounted weapon. It can carry up to 12 men, or 6 [[Ogryn]]s, and is adept at arriving out of nowhere and deploying a large array of troops. It has the advantage of being amphibious, and so can also take part in naval assaults. It is very durable, and is the basis for many other of the Guard's heavier vehicles, such as the [[Basilisk]], [[Hellhound]] and [[Griffin]] mortar. They play a heavy role in mechanized armies such as the [[Armageddon Steel Legion]].
