During the time of the Horus Heresy, the ship was boarded by a [[Blackshield]] force that was attacking a group of [[Sons of Horus]] and Death Guard at the world of [[Taracanis]] and managed to sabotage the ship's [[Nova Cannon]]. The Death Guard Legionaries, unbeknownst ignorant to this hidden damage, fired in anger, ten days later, against the [[Mechanicum ]] [[Explorator Barque ]] ''[[Radiant Precept]]'', resulting in the ''Revelation '' being crippled in the ensuing back-blast and its forced withdrawal from the war.{{Fn|1}}
