At one point, the [[Catachan CLXXXII]] and [[Elysian 90th]] regiments were reduced to below effective operational strength. While stationed on the [[Departmento Munitorum]] world of Prosan, the understrength regiments were merged to form a new regiment, designated the Prosan 314th.{{Fn|1}}{{Fn|2}}

Despite the fact that the two regiments were quite different, their combination proved highly effective; after being equipped with [[Valkyrie]]s in the [[Saikong JustificationWars]], the Prosan 314th developed a reputation as experts in jungle warfare, using the gunships to increase their mobility.{{Fn|1}}{{Fn|2}}
