The '''Protoid''' is an extremely large yellow gelatinous amoeba-like mass with large visible internal organs.{{Fn|1}} Its physiology allows it to actively grow in size and power over time as it is capable of devouring living creatures whole and absorbing their bodies, turning then into evermore ooze, which only allows it to then absorb more creatures, it is even apparently capable of absorbing [[Wraithbone]]. The protoid was deployed in the [[Battle of Iyanden (Kraken)|Fall of Craftworld Iyanden]] by [[Hive Fleet]] [[Hive Fleet Kraken|Kraken]].{{Fn|1a}}
