The Many Deaths of Makari
This time however, Makari witnessed his boss falling into both a physical and mental decline as he began to doubt himself and purpose thanks to the meddling of Commissar Yarrick. Ghazghkull's Waaagh! on Armageddon as well as the general distraction the stalemate was causing Ghazghkull's greater mission. Ghazghkull finally left Armageddon with his inner circle, but was pursued by Yarrick to Golgotha. Under the increasing influence of Grotsnik, Ghazghkull decided to return to Armageddon for an even bigger fight in an apparent abandonment of the mission the gods had given him. This caused Makari to talk back to his boss, which caused Ghazghkull to kill Makari and ignore the will of the Gods.5c
Makari was again reincarnated, though this time with his memories intact and into the body of a fully mature Grot fighting on the frontlines of the Second Third War for Armageddon. Having been brought back by Ghazghkull himself, it soon became apparent the Prophet had reincarnated Makari just to satisfy the demands of his lieutenant Bullets, who genuinely missed the Grot. This realization annoyed Makari, who promptly killed himself by leaping in front of a hail of incoming bullets. Makari would subsequently be resurrected by Ghazghkull over and over, each time killing himself to prove a point. The situation changed when Ghazghkull spoke directly to the newly reincarnated Makari for the first time, stating that as a true Ork he wouldn't apologize but that he had been wrong about some things. He showed Makari the Holy War he had created on Armageddon, but admitted it could be so much greater. At that moment a Leman Russ Battle Tank appeared, blasting a hole in Ghazghkull's chest. Ghazghkull was saved by Makari, who crawled inside the tank to murder the crew within. Seeing the incident as a message from the gods, the recovering Ghazghkull admitted he had been wrong to both Makari and the Gork and Mork. He announced his attention to depart Armageddon and begin Da Great Waaagh!.5d
