In truth, the Doomfire is an Imperial designation for a multitude of similarly designed bomber craft. The ''Iniquity'' Pattern Doomfire Bomber tend to be faster than their Imperial foes and pack a deadly payload of [[Melta Weapon|Melta Missiles]] as opposed to the [[Starhawk]]'s [[Plasma Bomb]]s. This gives them greater targeting ability, but more Doomfires must combine their fire to match the sheer damage that can be dealt by a Starhawk bombing run. Additional weaponry consists of 3 [[Autocannon]]s and 1 [[Lascannon]]. Some Doomfires are said to be retrofitted to carrying up to 25 troops or supplies for planetary assaults.{{Fn|2}}
