The war began when a [[Tau]] colonization fleet suddenly appeared due to an [[Warp|empyric]] convulsion. The Tau immediately began claiming worlds within the [[Red Scar]], the domain of the [[Blood Angels]]. The Blood Angels, [[Flesh Tearers]], and [[Angels Sanguine]] swiftly led a reconquest of the planets [[D'sandri]] and [[Gendal's Reach]] before the war spilled into the [[Sevensuns System]].{{Fn|1}}
Despite the arrival of thousands of new [[Primaris Space Marine]]s provided by [[Roboute Guilliman]] to rebuild the sons of [[Sanguinius]], the the future of the Red Scar remains in doubt. This has resulted in [[Dante]] launching the new ambitious [[Angel's Halo]] Campaign.{{Fn|2}}
