The '''Schola Progenia''' are academies run by [[Missionaries]] of the [[Ecclesiarchy]]. These schools teach and train orphans of Imperial officials who have given their lives in the service of the [[Emperor of Mankind]].{{Fn|1}}{{Fn|2a}} These orphans are indoctrinated into the [[Imperial Cult]] from an early age, and soon learn to regard the Emperor as their spiritual father.{{Fn|1}}

==Facilities==

Schola facilities exist on many worlds across the Imperium, primarily on planets with strong connections to either [[Terra]] or the [[Adeptus Ministorum]]. Many Schola are deliberately built in remote or isolated regions of their worlds, both to ensure the security of the facilities, and to prevent the progena from attempting to escape. Certainly many progena may desire to leave, for the rigours of their training are designed to be as harsh as possible, constantly testing their physical and mental fortitude during their studies. This ensures that the Schola's cadets are conditioned to handle and overcome any challenges that may face them when they graduate into the service of the wider Imperium.{{Fn|2c}}
