The massive shipyards orbiting the Martian equator are known collectively as the [[Ring of Iron]]. Spacecraft and other large constructs are constructed within the Ring’s extensive orbital factories, and many of the ships of the [[Battlefleet Solar]] are based in its huge floating docks. As of [[M41]], the Ring of Iron is the largest known man-made structure in the [[galaxy]].{{Fn|9a}}
