Like other Chapters of the ''Cursed Founding'', the Flame Falcons suffered from mutations in their [[gene-seed]]—in this case resulting in their tendency to spontaneously burst into flame during combat. The Chapter was declared [[Excommunicate Traitoris]] and driven from their home world by a force of [[Grey Knights]], thereby becoming one of the [[Renegade chapters]].{{Fn|1}}
