The Banecats acted as an extension of Tessera's will,{{Fn|1c}} who had no qualms to sacrifice them for a worthy prize.{{Fn|1a1d}}  == History ==The Banecats had and Tessera came into (relative) prominence after they were the first – as far as they knew – gang to discover the existence of the [[Archeotech (Alliance)|Archeotech]] close to the planet's core.{{Fn|1e}} As a result, Tessera called a meeting into neutral territory. As they did not arrive as a group, individual members were picked off by [[Morenn]] to [[Morenn's Crew|join her crew]]. Her streak ended when she confronted veteran Vex and [[juve]] Kyra who together slayed Morenn in [[Skirmish of Conduit P9.2030-208|a working relationship with skirmish]] and reintegrated her members into the Banecats. Unbeknownst to the combatants, they were tracked by [[Black Ash]]. At their gathering, Tessera explained the details, but while preparing, were attacked by Black Ash. Rattled, Tessera employed the services of Guilder[[Jakob DeVos]], who she betrayed before moving on into the Underhive.{{Fn|1f}}{{Fn|1g}} As the Banecats were making their way, unbeknownst to them, DeVos was organizing their former enemies, Black Ash and [[Rowdy Bois]], the latter of whom rescued DeVos, not into attacking the Banecats, but in assisting them.{{Fn|1h}} [[Flynt]], leader of Black Ash, saved the Banecats while they were in a tight spot and proposed [[Alliance (Necromunda)|an alliance]] , to which Tessera reluctantly agreed; as well as to rescue the Rowdy Bois. Now in numbers sufficient to challenge the native gangs, the Alliance did so, found the Vault where the Archeotech was stored and closed themselves in, not before several [[Jakob Dog Soldiers]] entered led by [[Grand Dog]]. The Alliance successfully killed him{{Fn|1i}} and the three leaders gathered around the archeotech. Flynt suggested they split the rewards,{{Fn|1j}} with Blutvor and Tessera reluctantly agreeing. However, it was obvious their hearts were not in it.
