In society: run-on sentence fix
Rumours about the mysterious individuals able to disable machinery on will alone bring out a whole spectrum of reactions from the society. Many oppressed by their drudgery within manufactorums and toiling their way through life dominated by accursed machines see discordants as potential liberators, and although their hopes and dreams are rarely ever heard, the thought brings them some semblance of contentment. No matter how much they desire freedom from the clutches of the machine, the most if not all of the populace is aware that such individuals ultimately are more dangerous than useful to the growth of civilization. 1
While it is only reasonable to shun them away, at least far enough so they won't disturb the workings of the industry, many are motivated by zeal than reason. Within the Mechanicum their existence is considered a blasphemy if not a tech-heresy, to silence a hallowed Machine Spirit is to be dictated an enemy, an anathema to the light of the Omnissiah. Many forge worlds openly put bounties on any born discordant, killing them in the open, some . Some considering themselves less brutal in their ways are content when the life of those poor souls ends with an unfortunate "accident".1
No matter the controversies, some of the members of the Adeptus Mechanicus seek to gather any and all discordants they can find. While of some interest to rogue Magos Biologis who'd be interested to dissect and diagnose their peculiarity, many do it simply to use them as weapons against their political and social enemies. The use of discordia is also of interest to the Inquisition, who'd love to build a force that could counter the unruly and heretical Mechanicum. It might come as a surprise to the Inquisitor that comes to employ a discordant, that the forces of Adeptus Mechanicus aren't bothered by the position the Inquisition might possess in the Imperium, not in face of the zeal of the Machine God's chosen.1
