In 152.[[M41]], the [[Rogue Trader]] [[Synbar Lockhart]]'s fleet was ambushed in Foulstone's orbit by the [[Aeldari]] faction known as [[The Crow Spirits]]. This was the Expanse's first confirmed sighting of the [[Xenos]] species and, while Lockhart escaped, a dozen of the Rogue Trader's ships were destroyed.{{Fn|1}}

In [[M42]], the transport vessel [[Naviica]] unloaded several thousand refugees from a planet belonging to [[Rogue Trader]] [[House Winterscale]]. The Order of the Hammer saw this as an invasion, however the new heir of the Rogue Trader [[House von Valancius]] intervened and took control of Foulstone as a new colony.{{Fn|3}}
