Colonised by the [[Adeptus Mechanicus]] in 975.[[M35]], the world had to be terraformed to make it more suitable for human habitation. It was cut off from the Imperium by [[warp storm]]s early in it's history. When it was rediscovered by the Imperium in 437.[[M39]], it had regressed to a feudal state and was experiencing a brutal and long-running nuclear civil war between four noble families - House Ochinka, House Petchenka, House Silenko, and House Volga. This use of nuclear weapons had melted the polar ice caps, flooding fully half of the world's landmass. The return to the Imperium solidified House Petchenka as the ruling family, establishing a hereditary planetary governate. A major [[Astropath]]ic monastery was then established to guide ships through the Pragathus [[Warp Gate]]. In 928.[[M41]], a Mechanicus archaeological team discovered a [[titan]] manufactorum in the Vorkata Reaches, as well as a number of [[Reaver Battle Titan|reaver]] and [[Warlord Battle Titan|warlord titans]] being kept in stasis inside that had been there since the planet's initial terraforming.{{Fn|2}}
