→Codex Covers
Hello, i noticed you uploaded alot of codex covers of less than ideal quality, with a distorted ratio. As tempting as it is to have flat covers, it is better to have good quality product pictures, than poor quality ones, if you can't find a proper original. --Siegfriedfr (talk) 20:35, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
:Hi. You think the 'slashed' images are better. I think that 2D - even with scan quality - are better. Who is right? --Darkelf77 (talk) 19:05, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
::To me, the problem isn't so much the quality of the picture (though that does suffer) as the fact that a lot of the versions you've 2d-ified are stretched much wider than they're supposed to be, distorting the cover. A few examples would be :File:InfernoInquisition.jpg and :File:Bloodlines_Cover.jpg; if you look at the file history you can see your version vs my fix from the Black Library website. In those cases, I really don't think the 2D version is better than the diagonal with spine visible version. The colors are also flatter, which makes sense in the context of the diagonal version but just looks washed out in the 2D-ified one. --Mikaka (talk) 19:28, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
