Ixus IV was a [[Tomb World]] dedicated to an unknown [[Necron Dynasty]] before it was turned into [[Penal World]] by the [[Imperium]]. Shortly before the arrival of the chaos warband, the [[Necrons]] awoke, purged it of all life, and remained dormant until the [[Bloodlords]] arrived.{{Fn|1}}
Led by [[Chaos Lord]] [[Sabaktes]] [[Chaos Warband]], the [[Bloodlords]] invade a penal moon looking for the blood of murderers to satisfy the [[Lord of Skulls]]. After a few skirmishes and having their [[Destroyer|light destroyer]] [[Bloodhammer]] shot down from orbit, they discover [[Necrons]] have purged the moon of all life. [[Lord of Skulls]] then destroys the [[Necron]]s and at least part of the [[Bloodlords]] to satisfy its bloodlust.{{Fn|1}}
