In battle, Stormheart wields a [[Cyclone Missile Launcher]] and provides fire support, by sending missiles wherever his [[Battle Brothers]]' foes are the thickest. In [[M42]], he was among the [[Space Wolves]]{{Fn|1b}} that defended the [[Imperium]]'s worlds in the [[Vertex Sector]]. When the vital world of [[Vertex (World)|Vertex]], suffered an [[Ork]] invasion{{Fn|1a}} the Space Wolves{{Fn|1b}} and several [[Space Marine Chapter]]s came to its defensedefence.{{Fn|1a}}. Stormheart would do battle with the invading Orks{{Fn|1b}}, but his mission changed when the [[Xenos]] found a weakness in the [[Hive City]] of '''Acastus'''' defensesdefences. It had been protected during the invasion by a [[Void Shield|Void Shield network]], which was projected from an armored armoured bunker designated '''Shield Generator Gamma-9'''. However the Orks would discover this and several hordes were sent to destroy it, so the Xenos could invade the Hive City.{{Fn|1a}}

The [[Chapter]]s became aware of the danger{{Fn|1a}} and each sent a [[Terminator]] to protect the [[Void Shield|Shield Generator]]. Stormheart was sent by the [[Space Wolves]] to defend it and he was joined by the [[Blood Angel]] [[Terminator Sergeant|Sergeant]] [[Angelus (Blood Angels)|Angelus]], the [[Imperial Fist]] [[Etrus]], the [[Salamanders|Salamander]] [[Magmus]] and the [[Ultramarine]] [[Lucian (Ultramarines)|Lucian]]{{Fn|1b}}. Though they numbered only five, in the close confines of the armored armoured bunker, these Terminator-armored armoured warriors would be in their element. None would allow the Orks access to '''Shield Generator Gamma-9''', without a fierce battle.{{Fn|1a}}
