*Consequences (Short Story) dates the trial and Death Oath of Uriel and Pasanius as taking place in 999.M41.6 However Codex Supplement: Ultramarines (8th Edition) states that their exile lasted several years.14 this would make the 999.M41 date impossible as it means they would have to return after the opening of the Great Rift, and both characters participated in the Invasion of Ultramar which took place before it.15a
Renumbered sources.
At the Battle of Bridge Two-Four on the planet Thracia, Idaeus sacrificed himself to help capture the objective, leaving Ventris in command and giving him Idaeus' power sword.1
Shortly thereafter, Ventris was confirmed as the new Captain of Fourth Company by Chapter Master Marneus Calgar. His first mission as Captain was to put down a rebellion on the Imperial world of Pavonis.2a It was on this mission that the Ultramarines encountered the Night Bringer, newly awakened from its millennia-long slumber.2x2b

*In Warriors of Ultramar (Novel), Uriel leads the Fourth Company on Tarsis Ultra, after taking command from Idaeus. According to the timeline in Codex: Space Marines (5th Edition) (which came out 8 years later), Uriel succeeded Idaeus as Captain of the Fourth Company in 010999.M41, according to this same timeline, the Ultramarines' participation in the Tarsis Ultra campaign took place in 5909997.M41, when Idaeus would have been Captain of the Fourth.12 However Codex: Tyranids (8th Edition) (which released in 2017) reaffirms that Uriel Ventris led the defense of Tarsis Ultra, though it gives no official date for the battle.13
