At some point during the [[Great Darkness]], all communications with Jardlan were lost. It was rumored that Jardlan had succumbed to the mutant horrors of the [[Underearth]] or the [[Dustwall]] Crawler tribes. Others criticized Jardlan for not relocating their hold when Secundus fell, believing it was only a matter of time before the evil within Secundus reached them. Some even blamed Jardlan for excavating near the Secundan Abyss, where the [[Broodspire]] and its offspring were imprisoned.{{Fn|1a}}
