The Jotunjegere gained their epithet during the conflict on Balmordan in 006.M31, where they destroyed the [[Legio Tempestus]] [[Reaver Battle Titan]] [[Hand of Dominance]]. Later on, the squadron, serving in the warband of Wolf Capatain [[Thegn]] Hruskav Frostglare, went on to earn their place in the sagas by seeking out the most deadly of foes in numerous engagements throughout the [[Horus Heresy]]. Before disappearing from all records, the Jotunjegere were credited with four engine kills, including felling the [[Legio Fureans]] [[Warbringer Nemesis Titan]] [[Calamitous Horizon]] before destroying its legs with missile barrages.{{Fn|1}}
