After the Drop Site Massacre, Kaesoron became known as the '''Favoured Son'''.{{Fn|4a}} Alongside [[Lucius the Eternal|Lucius]], [[Fabius Bile]], and [[Marius Vairosean]] he captured Fulgrim in hopes of exorcising the [[Daemon]] they believed inhabited his body.{{fn|2}}{{Fn|4b}} While on their way to [[Iydris]], Kaesoron was treated by Bile and received bone and horn implants as well as new mechanical eyes in order to repair his face.{{Fn|4b}} During the [[Battle of Iydris]], he commanded 3,000 warriors but led them into a frenzy of mutual killing when they their senses were overloaded by the smashing of [[Aeldari]] [[Spirit stone]]s.{{Fn|4c}} When xenos spirits and [[Ghost-Warriors|constructs]] attacked, he dragged [[Warsmith]] [[Kydomor Forrix]] to safety, and was the only Emperor's Children to survive the battle outside the xeno citadel.{{Fn|4d}}

Following the [[Horus Heresy]], Kaesoron ascended to the status of [[Daemon Prince]] of Slaanesh {{Fn|3a}} and joined [[Eidolon]]'s [[Phoenix Conclave]].{{Fn|6}} In [[M41]] during the [[Purging of Contqual]], he attempted to turn the world [[Shardenus]] into a [[Daemon World]] by opening a [[Warp rift]] on the planet,{{Fn|3b}} but was stopped by [[Clan Raukaan]] of the Iron Hands.{{Fn|3c}}
