Sebastian Yarrick was born '''Sebastian Vaarden''' on the world of [[Taos III]]. Orphaned at the age of 7, he was raised by his tough but caring grandfather , Yarrick , who himself was a veteran [[Sergeant (Imperial Guard)|Sergeant]] of the [[Imperial Guard]]. It was from him that he learned the art of survival and combat. {{Fn|9}} When [[Ork]]s invaded Taos III , Sebastian's grandfather was killed and he spent 3 years alone on the world, surviving in the forest and laying traps to kill Greenskins. When Imperial reinforcements arrived they found Sebastian, who had taken on the name Yarrick in honour of his grandfather.{{Fn|9}}
