Alongside the [[Blade of the Ancestors]], it is said to be one of only two weapons forged by the [[Ancestor Core|Votann]] themselves. It is said that a suitably talented [[Grimnyr]] who holds this stave can hear the faint voices of the Votann themselves and can interface with them and gain their guidance at will.{{Fn|1}}
