The '''{{PAGENAME}}''' is a modification done to what the [[Aeldari]] call the '''Spirit Monolith''' within the [[Xenos]] ruins on the [[Desert World|Desert]] [[Crone World]] of the [[Smaragdus Mundos System]].{{Fn|1}}
When first discovered, the capability of the artefact to exponentially improve a [[Navigator]]'s capabilities was obvious, however the whole stone was far to strong to use and burned the minds of its hosts. Through the sacrifices of many lives of the Setthala clan, a branch of [[House Orsellio]], [[Trisiphone II Orsellio]] was able to break the [[Xenos]] artefact into smaller shards and successfully embed the crystals into the House's [[Navigator]]s, exponentially increasing their power and allowing the [[Novator]] control over them. However, when a navigator with this "Atlas" embedded into them dies, they became captive within the Spirit Monolith, an agonising experience which deranged the Monolith's Aeldari guardians and made the artefact volatile.{{Fn|1}}
