He later became the 94th Company's brevetted commander{{Fn|1a}}, after [[Praetor (Rank)|Archein]] [[Malaci]] was killed in the [[Inconnu Campaign]]{{Fn|1b}} and, due to no replacement having been chosen, Crohne led the Company in the [[Battle of Signus Prime]].{{Fn|1a}} During the war on Signus he was one of the few Blood Angels to maintain his sanity and not succumb to the [[Red Thirst]]. Despite this, he remained an outcast among his peers, a symbol of the failings of the Blood Angels during Signus.{{Fn|1c}}
Aster Crohne later returned in 013.[[M31]] to take part in a raid on Traitor-occupied [[Mars]] at [[Sanguinius]]' orders. [[Schism of Mars_#The Arca Silentus|leading Leading the 94th Company against Lukas Chrom's scrap code beacon on Mars]], Crohne was badly wounded by a [[Brass Scorpion]] but successful in destroying the beacon. His fate afterwards is unknown.{{Fn|2}}
